Where is Yukon River Tours Located?

Yukon River Tours is located in Whitehorse Yukon, on the beautiful Shwatka Lake. We disembark from the boat launch just off Miles Canyon Road.

How Much Does It Cost?

River tour packages start at $118 Canadian. This includes a guided tour, navigating the beautiful Yukon River. Light snack and beverage included.

What Should I Bring?

  • Warm Clothes – With lots of room to layer down, we want to make sure you’re comfortable.
  • Cameras! Cameras! Cameras! We love showing off the beautiful territory we live in and cant wait for you to do the same! We love seeing the photos our customers capture and cant wait for you to pass those on! #YukonRiverTours
  • Binoculars, with opportunity to see wildlife along the way; why not get a closer look.

How Long is the River Tour?

Our river tour at a minimum is 70 minutes in length, if we get lucky and see some wildlife along the way we are more than happy to hang out a little longer to help you capture the moment.

Is it True you get 24 Hours of Sunlight?

Yes! During the summer the Yukon experiences extended periods of daylight. Summer solstice is on June 21st, which is our longest day of the year. This is why we the Yukon is often called the Land of the Midnight Sun. For this reason, afternoon and evening tours are ideal, and if you’re wanting a true midnight sun experience, contact us about our Midnight Sun Tour which departs at 10pm.

What Kinds of Wildlife will we see?

Depending on the time of year and what time our tour embarks wild life that may be seen includes

  • Great Canadian Beaver
  • Yukon/Alaska Moose
  • Grizzly Bear
  • Black Bear
  • Bald Eagle

If wildlife is not seen throughout your tour we do apologise and hope to see you again soon! Never knowing what Mother Nature will hand us during our tour makes each twist and turn more exciting!

Do You Provide Transportation?

No, however we highly recommend that all our guests use Who What Where Tours. They provide shuttle services in, and around, the Whitehorse area and provide safe, reliable, and affordable transportation.

Can I book a private charter or have your boat accommodate team building events?

You sure can! Give us a call at 1 (867) 335 8903 and we can get it all set up for you. With a fully enclosed cabin available, rain or shine we can take you and your team on any adventure on the water.

Is Smoking Permitted?

Smoking or vaping is NOT permitted per Canadian Department of Transportation regulations.
